Desktop/Network Technician

An immediate temporary opening on organization's IT Infrastructure Team is available! This role will provide Tier I technical support related to hardware, software and network infrastructure within the Lowville and Brownville, NY facilities. In addition to direct site support, this position will also manage complete tasks as assigned by Network Administrators and Director of IT Infastructure & HRIS.
Temporary Assignment; Travel between Lowville and Brownville locations will be required.
Job
Responsibilities:
Provides hands on desktop and network support for Lowville and Brownville manufacturing locations
Good working knowledge of HP/Citrix thin clients Windows PC's, HW, basic network and WAN/
Knowledge of Anti-Virus and anti-malware solutions
Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
Prepared to provide front line technical support in both office and manufacturing environments.
Other functions and roles as determined by Director IT Infrastructure & HRIS and/or CIO.
Work in compliance with security policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Entry to mid-level support skills and advanced networking experience are required.
Must be a high energy individual with excellent communication skills, meticulous follow through and a thorough understanding of how to function in a dispersed team.
A good working knowledge of Cisco, HP network & desktop architecture is required.
College degree or some college combined with relevant (MCP, MCSE, CCNA etc) certifications appreciated

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
