Construction Manager - Solar

We will have staff on site who will be there to get this individual caught up to speed on the status of the project, but we're looking for this person to come in and be able to take off running The Construction Manager is responsible for onsite performance of construction and maintenance work in accordance with contract requirements and ensuring cognizance to cost estimates for realization of maximum profit.
This individual is also responsible for pursuing and booking traditional utility and industrial project and maintenance work within their assigned local area.
Understands and communicates contract T&C's Monitors project change management issues Work with Project Manager and Operations team to develop the Operations schedule.
Identifies and targets future bid opportunities Provide leadership, along with once monthly in person attendance for weekly on-site construction meeting:
Identify Safety concerns and prevention; Outline completed portions of the past week that meet or exceed Project Schedule; Look forward on week ahead schedule for each subcontractor.
Oversees, reviews, and approves project execution Addresses, advises on, and assists with critical issues relative to projects within area of responsibility Plays an integral role in the development of projects by conducting field walks, assisting in value engineering, providing knowledge and field experience to project designs and assisting in the permitting process.
Communicates significant project issues to management Ensures compliance of project and personnel in accordance w/ Company policies and ethics programs Challenges project team(s) to be customer and performance driven Intermittently represents Client opposite organized labor on jurisdictional issues, pre-job conferences, and the grievance process Occasionally represents Client opposite organized labor on collective bargaining committees and apprenticeships committees for their local area of responsibility Occasionally oversee contract negotiation within area of responsibility Intermittently oversee contract execution issue resolution Perform all other duties as assigned Job Type:
